About Me

My name is Padmaja Gupta, and I have been teaching Sanskrit for over 35 years. What began as a calling in 1992 at St. Mary's Senior Secondary School in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, has blossomed into a lifelong journey of sharing the beauty of this divine language.
I hold Master's degrees in Sanskrit, English, and Political Science, along with an L.T. (Licentiate of Teaching) qualification. This diverse academic background has given me a unique perspective on language, culture, and education.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching at some wonderful institutions. After my initial years at St. Mary's School in Banda, I spent over seven years at Rani Laxmibai Public School, Jhansi, before joining Army Public School, Gwalior in 2010 — where I continue to teach today.
My goal has always been simple: to make Sanskrit accessible, engaging, and joyful. Whether through classroom activities, creative workshops, or my YouTube channel “Sanskrit with Padmaja”, I strive to show students that Sanskrit is not just an ancient language — it is alive, beautiful, and deeply relevant.
When I'm not teaching, you'll find me composing small pieces of poetry, creating educational videos and presentations, or listening to music.
Teaching Philosophy
“To provide high quality teaching and learning experiences, and to enable all students to achieve the highest possible standards in every area. Sanskrit is not merely a subject — it is a window into the richness of our culture, and every student deserves the chance to look through it.”
